Well I'm 14 now. Turning 15 this month. I havent had sex yet. I think its because of hormones. ha. yeah hormones make you horny i guess. Plus experimenting and stuff. I dont really know if it is normal at school. I heard of rumors of some kids having sex but i dont know if most people do it because most kids dont go telling everyone. And i definitely DO NOT feel comfortable talking to my mom about sex. Seriously not at all. I'm too afraid to bring it up and have her accuse me of doing something. Thats all parents do these days. OH! Another reason why teenagers have sex, well, to be honest when a guy and girl are in a relationship, the guy pushes it on her. Pressures her and stuff. And being naive and afraid of losing the guy most girls give in.

I am 19 but i do have an opinion about this.

Teens are exposed to sex at a younger age than ever. Sex ed is taught in middle school. So pretty much that is showing them that they can have sex. They think it is a normal way of life. Just look at the average 16 year old girl. She looks like she is 21. At least where i am from. When i was 14-16 people thought i was 20 to 25 years old. With that in mind. Teenagers are physically maturing faster than they used too. I had a few "girl" friends that was fully developed in the 6th grade.

Sadly it is becoming a reality that kids are becoming pregnent as well. I had a classmate in 8TH GRADE that broke her water in class and had to be rush to a hospital to have her child, WHEN SHE WAS A CHILD. If i remember right she was 13 or 14.

I dont know what is wrong with the world today but it is getting worse.

I would like to know in which country that survey was taken, and how big the survey was along with what socio-economic groups were surveyed.

Children are not more exposed to sexual images on TV and in magazines that were never seen 15-20 years or more ago. Therefore they have become more sexually experimental.

Saying that -----
I can remember that at my primary school in grade 5 half the boys and a quarter of the girls had already had sex -- and these were 10 -11 year olds. In grade 6, the percentages were even higher --half the girls and three quarters of the boys.

In high school, in grade 8, the numbers were 35 percent of the girls and 48 percent of the boys, and this was when they were 13 -14.

This was back in the mid 1950's when one learnt about sex from ones peers, and not from your parents or at school.

Why do I think this happens? Because young kids these days are downright DUMB. I'm 16, never had sex, and I've never even had a boyfriend. What's the point? When you're older you're going to regret losing your virginity to a 'OMG he's like soooooo cute!!!' guy. Especially when you go to the 10 year reunion and find out he's turned out to be some bald, fat, perverted plumber. At my school sex isn't really talked about an awful lot. There's always the occasional rumors about things like that happening, but generally we know sex at our age is completely pointless!

EDIT--- Ya, I forgot to mention the alcohol factor. There's always a bunch of parties involving alcohol where the girl gets drunk, and the guy takes advantage of her. I think that has a lot to do with it aswell.

It relies upon on your state, however the policies are virtually completely for sexual family members, no longer kissing or dancing. In New Jersey, working example, you ought to be a minimum of sixteen and your important different might desire to be interior 3 years of your age so you might have sexual family members. The term "sexual" potential what it implies. If an 18 twelve months previous dates a 14 twelve months previous, however, all and sundry is going to envision that relationship as a splash knotted up and the couple might locate themselves below scrutiny, even though it would desire to no longer be unlawful. you may desire to tell your sister that she gets back to you if she is uncomfortable with the 18 twelve months previous she is relationship, and you ought to think of roughly speaking to the guy. Why is an 18 twelve months previous relationship a 14 twelve months previous, and that i'm no longer asserting it does not ensue for romance, even though it is not any longer user-friendly.

yeah this is REALLY normal.
its probably actually more than 37%
but 14 year olds dont just go around having sex with anyone.
if they have a bf or gf and they are both ready then they will have sex. most people dont want to talk to their parents about it because its just gross and embarrassing hearing it from them. and parents usually dont know about it.
