Hi! May I speak to the manager (or M. or Mrs. so-and- so, if you got their name when you submitted the app). This is *** I submitted my application (whenever it was) and I was just checking to see if you had a chance to look at it. I'm still very interested in working for Starbucks and was hoping I could take a few minutes to talk to you.
(Hopefully, at this point you will be invited to an interview. If not, thank him/her and ask when would be a good time to check-up with them again. You will probably be told they will call you.) Do NOT be pushy or back them into a corner for an interview-you may GET an interview, but it will only be a courtesy and you have already shown them you don't follow direction very well.
It NEVER hurts to follow up with a short handwritten note thanking them for their time. It puts your name in front of them again and shows initiative.

you should call and ask for a manager, dont call during real busy hours, try like 10 am or so. Then tell them this is so in so, I recetly filled out an application and was wondering if you have had time to look over it. Let them know you are still seeking employment. As a hiring manager, i know if someone calls me i know they are truly interested in a job.
Ask if they are planning on doing interviews in the near future and could you come in and talk to them. Always thank them for their time

1) you call and ask for the manager
2) You tell the manager this is (your name here) - I applied for a barrista position 2 weeks ago
3) I was calling to see if I could answer any questions you had about my resume or qualifications, and to let you know that I'm still interested in the position.
4) If he says he'll get back to you, tell him that you'll give him a follow up call in a week - this politely puts pressure on him without you appearing to be too forward or out of line.

you basically call, ask for the manager, tell them your name, the date you filled out the application, and state that you would like to know the status of your application. it's that simple. good luck!

Just call, give your name & say when you applied.
Ask if they can tell you the status of your application.
If not, then ask when you can expect to hear something.
Don't pressure them, but say that you need to make plans.

sure I beleive you're able to desire to call them returned and ask with regard to the prestige. It makes it seem such as you incredibly are interested in working for them. i understand while my boss grew to become into hiring human beings, human beings could turn in purposes to me and my boss and that i could seem over them, and as we've been doing that, somebody called and thanked us for their interview and puzzled with regard to the prestige of their app. and that guy or woman extremely stood out in our minds! It shows which you're expert and are finding forward to working for them as a enterprise, and didnt only turn in a gaggle of apps. and want for the terrific. each and every from time to time you definately could desire to pass the extra mile! :) stable success!
