45 GAP means Glock automatic pistol, the round invented by Ernest Durham to be as powerful as the 45 ACP but a shorter round to fit in a more compact hand gun.
45 ACP is the Automatic Colt Pistol - designed by John Browning who founded colt firearms in 1905, and the 45 ACP round was adopted in 1911 by the US Army
40 S+W Smith and Wesson in 1990, a newer caliber and now a very popular one.

Stampy Skunk nailed this one.The only thing I can add is that Smith & Wesson, designed and manufactured the 40 S&W caliber cartridge and so it has the S&W designation..
