A Brigadier General is the lowest ranking of the General Officers, they only sport one star. They usually serve in positions like Deputy Division Commander, random staff positions, project heads, advisory positions, and so one. Typically not in traditional command positions but I have seen National Guard Brigade Commanders that were BGs, but I think thats a thing of the past.
