Can you recive a analoge signal with a digital tv card?

hello, i need to record from a analoge cctv cam onto my computer i have a wintv nova2 usb card so i was wondering if you could recive analoge with a digital card.

Also a bit off topic i there any other software you can use to watch tv beocuse the wintv software is very bad

I would say yes. Many HDTV's are receiving analog signals. But, I not think an analog TV will receive Digital.
The FCC has a website on this and will give out Vouchers for people to buy a converter box if the have the old TV. This supposed to take place in 2008.

As for other software, I not know. I using Linux and yes it have different choices for TV.
