Is the contrast on my camera sharp on these three pictures?
After you take a look at them maybe rate if you feel the fancy.
How could the composition etc. improve?

"Sharp" contrast is not, always the point in an image. Sometimes, you want a strong contrast. These images can, often, create a very dramatic mood in a composition. Other times, less contrast tells the story of the image much better.

For example, in the "blowing bubbles" image, I think the contrast should be enhanced, because the person tends to "blend in" to the background. I realize that the bubbles are the natural subject of this frame, but, to highten their impact, I would have narrowed the depth of field, when the photo was shot, to exclude the person and the background. I might still consider doing that in Photoshop. (a little tricky, blurring behind the bubbles.
