properly that's only the way it is going. if it weren't the case, could you like no longer having seashores the place water and land meet? it incredibly is only how the earth is made, ocean's are very as a rule close to the shore.

Because the water begins where the land is below sea level. There is land under the ocean -it is just lower than the level of the sea.
