There is a couple that goes to my mothers church, it was the mother, father, and 2 children. The children were ages 5 and 1.
The 5 year old boy is the mothers child from a previous marriage .. and the 1 year old is the child the couple had together. (so, the 5 year old's mom married this man and had a baby with him .. making the 5 year old his step son).
Well, the 5 year old was always a hyper child and was always hyper during church services.
Last month the 5 year old was found hanging from a rope off the top bunk in his bedroom. It happend while the mother and 1 year old were away from the house .. it was only the 5 year old and the step dad at home.
They said it was an accident .. or "possible suicide".
Can a 5 year old really be clever enough to hang themself from a bunk bed with a rope??? Are they really able to tie a knot that strong???
I think it sounds fishy .. but the sad thing is, there is NO investigation.
Do you think the step dad did it? Do you think the mom knew?

Do you think the kid purposely killed themself?
Or do you think it was an accident??

My mom has since seen the couple at church and she said they don't seem like they are mourning whatsoever.

everyone mourne differently. No i don't beleive a 5 year old can understand killing them selves but can he hang himself accidently YES. My bosses neighbours son hung himself at the age of 10. He wrapped the rope around his neck and sliped out of the tree. At 5 he would not have comprehend the consequences. Don't judge the way they grieve. everyone copes differently

Wow that does sound alittle fishy, but we are not here do judge. If indeed the step-dad had something to do with the child's death it will 4 sure come back and haunt him.Remember that God does not like uglies. As awful as it sounds the child is in a better place now.And how can the mother not know?A five year old is full of life and joy.Their only worry is playing and enjoying life to the fullest, unfortunately his short lived life came to an end.And don't worry God is doing his own investigation,he always solves his cases.

While it does sound fishy, I have to disagree with people who are saying a 5 yr old wouldn't think of it on his own. When my son was about that age he was a very angry, hyper child, but we were unable to find anyone who would help him, until recently. Well I was pregnant, he was mad, and jealous, and told me many times that he wished me and the baby dead, and also that he wanted to kill me himself. He has also made comments like I am stupid, I should just kill myself. He was never exposed to violence or even shows that depict this type of behavior. We have finally found out that he has a conduct disorder, and possibly Bipolar as well.

So yes it may be likely that the child was mentally ill, and did in fact commit suicide, it is just as likely that it was an accident, or that the stepdad did it. Nobody will ever know, and that PD should have investigated, so very sad. But eventually the truth will come out.

No, I can't imagine that and yes, it sounds way to fishy. I can't imagine why the police are not investigating. I knew a guy who "killed" himself some time back and it just so happens that he "wife" at the time "found" him and the police had been looking for him for hours and couldn't find him. It was never told however that a family member witnessed the "wife" shot at this man's head about a week prior to the "suicide" and barely missed him. I also know of a case where a former Friend of mine from school had a third baby. Well, she was very unhappy about this and one day after the birth the baby died and they allege that the baby rolled off the couch. However then the story changed and they said the 18 month old pulled her off the couch... I'm not too sure about people anymore! But we can be assured that you get what's coming to you, good or bad...

I dont think a 5 year old would do that on purpose,if anything it would have had to been an accident. I cant believe theres not going to be an investigation.Did the police at least arrive at the scene? I mean for one thing depending on how the rope was tied they could tell if the 5 year old tied it or not? I dont know enough details for any further opinion. But it is a sad deal at any rate.

in respect to a 5 year old having the will to kill themselves, that is not possible to answer.could a child be subjected to such an upbringing that it is aware of the concept of suicide?possible.is it possible a child who understood the concept, have the awareness to carry it out...remote, but possible.
is it possible then that the child in question could have the physical ability to carry it out....even more unlikely, but still probable. our perspectives are irrelivant, i feel like yeah, something fishy......but u cant condemn someone for our feelings. its trust in the legal system that ur asking about, because if a proper investigetion was performed, maybe something would have found something......are u sure a proper investigation wasnt carried out, and nothing was found as a result? im not defending anyone, btw, just playing devils advocate

That couple is completely sick and the woman should have her tubes, and all female organs taken out. I am not sure what religion you are but they don't deserve that baby.

There is no damn way a 5 year old can tie anything that tight to hold himself up. And why wasn't the step father watching the child more closely or wonder what was up when he didn't hear the child.

I am sorry for the loss of this child but because he shouldn't have had to die this way. He should still be alive and full of life, hyper or not.

God bless the little one and may he be in our thoughts.

Boy, this is a very sad situation. I am not sure at the mother knew about it. But the step father might have done it. I know that my children got lassos from a craft fair and I was afraid that something bad might happen so I took them away from them. It just terrible, the police should have check this out a little more.

i would say something is fishy here & i dont think a 5 yr. old would do something like that. And if they are not grieving over him,i think the step dad did it. they should investigate & look for evidence around the room he was in. About 3 months ago a woman smothered her son & tried to say it was a carjacker that did it & i knew she was guilty when i first saw it on the news cause things didnt add up in that story & they just caught her last week

I dont think a 5 year old has the ability and skills to do that, they dont even know what suiside is. This is absolutly horrible I think the step dad did do it in my opinion, and it is very possible that the mother knew. This world gets worse day by day. It just shows its getting closer to the end times.
