Is there any recent pet food recalls?

Question

Anyone feed their cats Nutro?
I just purchased a bag for my cats and I go online to see what other pet owners have to say. When I googled it, some article came up saying that the FDA banned the shipment of Nutro products to the US. What??????? If so why would I be able to purchase this?

Go to this site. It has a list of all foods affected and the latest recall updates. It includes some Science Diet, Purina and many others....it also afected dog food.

Royal Canin brand cat food (sold at PetSmart) was not invovled with the pet food recall because they don't import ingredients from China.

The article is from August, and I am on an auto list for food recalls and have not gotten any lately... so I am not really too sure.

I don't feed nutro, nor will I. I would just switch to a better food.

Nutro is still on shelves everywhere and I've heard nothing about them being taken down.

Anyways, most recent thing I've heard, is to be cautious and not buy products that were made in China. Try to find food that's made within the US.

I feed my cat Pastor & Collux Natural Ultramix (sold at Petco). It's what she goes NUTS for!

The Itchmo site is always up to date and is specifically about pet foods. They had stuff before even the FDA started listin them last March when all that awful stuff happened. Here's the URL
