My 15 year old daughter's ex-boyfriend (16) borrowed her iPod when they were together. A week later they broke up but he kept the iPod, but they still talked and remained friends. A week after that she asked for the iPod back and now he is saying he lost it and does not seem to considered about the whole thing. He had originally lost his own iPod a year a ago, yes, I know she should have never loan it out. But now what should I do, should I contact his mother and ask her to make sure he looks for it. Should I also ask her to buy her a new one? I know that if she did something like that, I would feel like she is responsible for it and buy a new one. I am also harping on her to be responsible for her actions. Please help.. (Oh, she has had the iPod for two years) Thanks.

i'd contact his mom...either she needs to find it or he needs to find it..it was lent to him in good faith and it needs to be returned in good faith also...if they can't find it the least they should do is offer to replace it...good luck

If the product was registered I would report it stolen and I m not sure if the company can do anything about it but I would call. If not I would tell his mother. I pods are expensive and I don't believe it is lost.

honestly, there is not much you can do. Considering your daughter lent it to him, and even though it is wrong or him to keep it or lose it, it is her fault. If she wants a new one your daughter should pay for it, to teach her a lesson. Sorry if it sounds rude, but it's the truth!

He is 16 if he has a job he can pay for it. Tell his mother she may or may not care.

Yes, his mom should have to pay you back if she can't find it. She is responsible for him.
