One of the best ways to get hair to stay curled is to roll hair on rollers while wet and allowing it to dry. If you dont have the time or the patience, I would try using KeraCare curling wax. It is designed specifically to be used with curling irons and keeping the curls in tact.

1) Apply setting lotion or mousse before using a curling iron or rollers.

2) Only use a fine mist of hair spray. Too much hair spray will make the hair wet & loosen the curl.

3) If using a curling iron, try pinning the curls up until the hair cools & the curl sets.

Use hair spray that can do great holds, follow these steps.

1.) Spray the strand of hair you are going to be curling ( works good with a curling iron
2.) Curl the hair.
3.) After you curled it, spray it again!

You HAVE to use really good holding spray if you want them to stay. I use Paul Mitchell Firmstyle.

You can buy it from any local hair salon.

and repeat !

do it strand by strand !

*don't spray your hair before you curl it*
that's really bad advice
& your curling iron will get all gunky

instead apply 'curl-defining' mousse to your damp hair after a shower and blow-dry it and curl your hair and hairspray all of it

& if you can twirl your finger around each curl with some wax that will give it an extra hold
