Hey IG,

Ain't necessarily so.

As a marathon runner, I have learned to do several things that help me keep focused on running far and running fast:

1)===> Suppress the pain
2)===> Self-sacrifice
3)===> Mind over matter
4)===> No pain, no gain
5)===> Never say never

These ideas are reinforced EVERY time I finish a race with a FAST time.

When it comes to relationships, especially ones that aren't made in heaven, these are not always good qualities for me to carry with me. I believe that these marathoning principles keep me in relationships longer than I should stay.

What's worse: it's practically IMPOSSIBLE for me to give up. Even if I APPEAR to have moved on, just like the mental wrestling that goes on in my mind as I run, my mind never wants to let go.

So- - - one can ACT like they've moved on; but what's in their heart can be TOTALLY different.

Anyway. . . there is going to be a fundamentally different chemistry between A & B, or between A & C, or A & anyone else. And regardless of the motivational approaches one may embrace, the individual chemistry one feels may dictate, more than anything else, when the heartbreak will end and when the moving on will occur.

Whatever.

I feel hideously scarred. What happens when you look at a scar? Right- you NEVER forget.

It means a person has moved on from at least a pragmatic and logistical standpoint. "Moving on" emotionally is a little trickier, and some people never do so from some relationships. I don't think moving on ever necessarily refers to forgetting, or no longer being affected by the past relationship or the heartbreak. Recovering does not mean excising the experience from the psyche. It simply means accepting what happened and choosing to continue one's life.

no not always b/c most of the time after a heartbreak the only reason we try to date again is to forget and keep going within our new life so yeah it doesn't mean they stopped loving the one they used to be with

Life is to short to waste on a broken heart get back out there and who knows that right person might be your next date and you would have wasted all that time crying over split-milk. Sounds like you have had a little pitty party and that's alright just get yourself back in there and get your life back, don't let a heartbreak stop you moving on LIFE IS TO SHORT!!!

Depends on the person really. Sometimes its very hard to move on, but time is a good healer.Dating again is a great start as long as you are doing it for the right reasons.

Oh yes! And it's so hard to do, but it's even harder to look back and realize that what you had will never come again. I've tried so hard to move forward, but I still can't do it. Maybe that's why your poetry resonates with me so strongly. Intellectually, I know I must move on, but emotionally I can't. Once (if ever) I start, I hope the momentum will be forward.

Sometimes, but the easiest way to put it is when someone gets with someone new after a break up there trying. They may or may not be over the person, but you can say that they are trying.

that's a puppy peeve of mine, too. it particularly is in easy terms a form of little issues... i do no longer think of it makes you a median individual in any respect. it particularly is just one thing that gets on your nerves. some human beings get particularly aggravated with pencil tapping or issues like that. and that they are frequently asked to stop by ability of somebody. i do no longer think of your undertaking is in simple terms too diverse.
