No, you are ignorant if you don't agree with what you THINK are my religious beliefs (ie. worshiping satan, sacrificing babies and so on). That would be the height of ignorance, yes.
And guess what, I don't agree with that either! ;)

I just answered a question not to long ago, that stated that atheists were smarter than believers.
No one is ignorant by default. Not atheists or people with religious beliefs. But some on both sides show their ignorance when they say that the other side is ignorant because of either their belief or non belief.

I'm an atheist, so you could say I don't have any religious beliefs. I do not conclude that you are ignorant just because you are not also an atheist. However, I would have to admit I'd have more confidence in your intelligence if you were also an atheist. Still, I have known plenty of very intelligent people who were believers of one stripe or another. I think the real issue is whether you have a reasonable basis for that belief, whatever it is.

Ignorant as in uninformed or uneducated...possibly
Ignorant as in stupid...not at all.
I just wish more people who call others ignorant understood the difference.
I think that anyone has the right to their beliefs and even if we don't like or agree with them, we need to respect that they have the choice and the responsibility for their decisions.

No, you just don't believe. All of us believers were unbelievers at one point (speaking as a Christian).
Now that I am a believer, I probably know more about the bible for example( I hope anyway) , but I don't think ignorant would be correct, especially if someone uses it in the pejorative sense.
I hope this answers your question and I hope no one called you ignorant because you aren't a believer.
For someone of my faith that would be a real sin.

If you take the time to understand my beliefs and disagree, then you're not ignorant, you just disagree. If you have a knee-jerk reaction of disagreeing before you know me, then you would be ignorant--but only on the topic of what I believe, not anything else.

If you don't agree with my beliefs and have not researched it, meaning you don't agree with something you don't even know about, then yes, that makes you ignorant.
But, if you don't agree with my beliefs due to the research you attained, then no, you are not ignorant and have come to a logical conclusion based on your personal research and findings...

You would only be ignorant if you did not learn about it before judging it. And I don't mean get a quick overview, I mean really learn it as in read the entire worship book of that religion.

I only think a person is ignorant if they aren't willing to learn about other views. Not agreeing with other views does not make you ignorant, it is the lack of learning that makes someone ignorant.
