There's this guy who is around 22 years old...and we attend master's school together. Thing is, we've never chatted - but the first time he saw me he was staring hard! To the point where I had to look at him to get him to avert his eyes and he looked really embarassed. The next day I tried to answer a question he had, and he kinda ignored, so I figured it wasn't a crush, but he's been staring at me since, he'll get his face really close to mine sometimes and for some reason we always make eye contact, I'm drawn to his height I think he's drawn to my face, it's strange...but he always quickly looks down...but even still he always stares! He makes me feel awkward because he's so awkward!

He could be simply lovestruck--- he knows he is staring but he probably doesnt realize he is staring as long as he actually is--- he is just attracted to your looks---your entire persona---and he can't help it...I know I used to stare at girls for a long time---but in church where everybody is supposed to be looking straight ahead--- I was looking sideways---
beautiful women just have that effect on guys-- it is almost like a mini addiction-- if you are there--he has to stare!

It is likely there is something about you he finds intriguing or attractive. Sometimes it can strike when you don't expect it. It might also be that you remind him of someone.
It would appear whatever it is he doesn't feel comfortable talking to you at the moment. Perhaps he is shy or intimidated.
You can either go up and try to talk to him (I would advise not being confrontational to start and maybe talk about your shared subject to break the ice.) Or maybe find a way to text/email or write a note asking if he is alright and wants to talk.
If he doesn't respond and it continues then maybe look to be a little more forceful if it is bothering you. It really depends how it makes you feel and the vibe of the situation. Good luck with it anyway.

Well real men don't play games, and your boy does. So next time he gets close to your face and stares just ask him why he's staring at you, or just start up a conversation. Maybe he's too shy to speak up just like a boy

Maybe he's just painfully shy, and you're terribly goodlooking and he goes all wobbly at the knees every time he sees you and is worried that if he says hi, and you snub him, that's the whole rest of his life gone down the gurgler.
Try saying hi to him and spend a few minutes talking to him. Maybe he's a nice shy guy.

he sounds to me like a definition "passive" guy, I mean he obviously thinks you're ok....that's something, he probably wants you as a friend atleast...but most likely with what he's doing a girlfriend, the next time just try to talk to him about something neutral, let that build for a while get him comfortable and move on from there... :)

i think you should say something and see what his reaction is and then you can get more of an idea about him if he does fancy you then whats he waiting for also its not uncommon for girls to ask boys out in this day and age goodluck

He's shy, talk to him, he might loosen up. but I think he's attracted to you, or you got a booger hanging out or something.
