When I gave my heart to the Lord, He filled me with such love for humanity and His truths that i have never stopped sharing them for over three decades.

I was an atheist for 33 1/2 years, and will never return to the world where I was before.

A Bible code proves Jesus is the Messiah, see http://abiblecode.tripod.com

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Stewart, it's ok that you didn't feel an overwhelming feeling when you got saved, but you can not base this missing feeling on your relationship with Christ. When I got saved I had the same feeling. You have to pray daily and also read your bible or a daily verse. I have an amazing relationship with God and I know you can too. Don't give up, He waiting for you to seek Him more. Also, keep in mind that sometimes you may never know or realize the blessings God has given you. They may not be visible to you. Or the many times God may have prevented bad things from happening to you that you may never know about. He loves you so deeply Stewart. Hard times make us better, stronger and wiser. I have been through A LOT and couldn't have done it without "those two guys." Sometimes it takes time. It's not going to happen over night. Even prayers may take a while to be answered or maybe they will be answered immediately, but either way you HAVE to have FAITH.

In the Bible, it says that God will help those who help themselves (people in need of money, etc) Well, sorry for the looong message, but please feel free to message if you need to talk, I understand and can tell you it was all worth it. God Bless:)

It sounds to me, that you never opened up your heart. It only sounds like to me that you gave God an ultimatum, either He impresses you because you say "ok" or you throw Him out. Well, it sounds like God don't bite.

I experience a lot from both God and Jesus, but I have opened up my heart, and God is not lazy...have you looked at this world. I don't know what you do for a living, but I can assume you get stressed now and again working 40 hours a week, managing maybe 50> people a day....well imagine 24/7 managing 6 billion+ people, answering to their calls, trying to help people, and at the same time get trashed on every single day. I don't think He's lazy, I think you just don't understand or want to understand.

for one thing, it's not two "guys." Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit is one "person." (the Trinity)yea it's a bit complicated sounding. but think of it this way:
water. it's water
ice. it's ice, but it's also a form of water.
vapr/gas. it's gas, but it's another form of water.

you opened your heart, but were you accepting? i could leave the door to my house open all day long, but i could also standing in front of the doorway to make sure nothing would get in.
you're also only thinking of the bad things in the world that were caused by man's sin.
what about the good? the beautiful sky, the flowers in spring, or even a good grade in school. God has blessed you. you have a computer right?

Yes - I experience His love and grace every day. I also found salvation in Him on the night I was going to kill myself.

I hope you don't have to reach the depths of suicidal despair like I did to find out how much God loves you and cares for you - but sometimes you never know God is all you need...

...until God is all you have.

God bless you, brother - I'll be praying for you too!

I was going to try to explain why God doesn't feed the poor but I found nothing..I guess there's just some things you can'ts answer. But when you look at what the world could be without God, well thats when you really start to believe.

You must give Him time. He's working in your life in miraculous ways EVERY day, and even though you don't always see it, he is, and he loves you. I don't want you to feel discouraged, though, because sometimes He puts things in your life that you may not necessarily like, but He wants to see how you handle them so it can teach you. Trust me, He loves you, I love you (as a Christian), and one day it will be well worth your faith. Just be patient. I promise good things are to come your way!

going by what you've just typed i really doubt you are/were serious. remember before you opened your heart to God, he knew you would type this. most genuine people would be tenacious in there journey to find Jesus but it seems like you never get your way and now your spitting out your dummy.

i include you in my prayers. all the best

You say you "opened your heart to God and Jesus".....

.....but, did you GIVE IT TO THEM?

Yes, I have experienced it all....and, it's been approx 48 years since I asked God to be my Father and 32 years since I asked Jesus and the Holy Spirit into my life.

If you are seriously asking for help in understanding, ask. :)

"God needs no being other than Himself. He not only contains within Himself the sufficient reason for His own exiistence; but every other sufficiency... In His own nature is all being, all perfection, all bliss. Why then did he create a universe?...he knew we should like it. Creation brings Him no gain, but it brings us tremendeous gain; it means that we are something instead of nothing, with all the posibilities of life and growth and happines instead of the mere blankness of nonentity. It is a new light upon the love of God that our gain could be a motive for His action. He know that beings were possible who could enjoy existence. By existing we glorify Him-but who is the gainer by that? Not God, Who needs nothing from a creature; only the creature, whose greatest glory is that he can glorify God...To realize that one is made of nothing gives a feeling of hardly being there at all, a feeling that one has no hold on existence...God continues to hold us in existence." (Theology for Beginners F. J. Sheed). Remember you got to surrender to Him, you have will but that is all. He destroyed humans twice, once when Adam and Eve's two sons, the good and the bad one's descendents decided to intermarry. Then he destroyed it again when only Noah and his boat people survived. I guess he was going to destroy us again, but decided that we deserved another chance and he made himself human and feel our human pain. Your relationship is based on Love, His Love. You can only pray to Him if he lets you. So do it as He said, he's got strict laws. There is poverty, not because He wills it, but because Man through imperfection creates systems that are imperfect. Remember that if you have sufficient faith, you can move a mountain. Faith, Hope, and Charity-Love, bro, you're either with Him or without Him. Like they say heaven help you if you ain't. Remember that the angels have a will, and a group decided that they were better than their creature and you got the Devil whose only power over you is disception, period. Perfection can only accept perfection. But through His grace (power) He allows us to become as close as we, can on this earth, to Him. Later, we will "see" Him in heaven. Give the Guy an understanding that comes only from Him."...God is infinite in all perfections, not needing to develop. Merely by being God, He knows Himself with infinite knowing power, and utters His infinite self-knowledge in the totally adequate Idea of Himself which is His co-eternal Son...There is one huge and instant difference between God's Idea and any idea we may form. His is Someone, ours is only something...The thinker can know it, it cannot know him, he can admire its beauty, it cannot admire his; he can love it, it cannot return his love and so on... Take a good theology class to find out where you fit in this universe. What goes around comes around. What have you given? I hope you find the peace that you are looking for. He inspired you to find Him, but only through Him. Give it up, we're only a creature not a Infinite Spirit.
