When we praise him his blessing come down on us....This is a true statement......

when I raise my arms to the Lord it means....here I am Lord....at your service...I want to give my all to you in obedience and surrender to you.....You are so great and greatly to be praised.....Try it sometime at home if you feel uncomfortable in church...raise your arms to the Lord in praise and see how you feel???
In the psalms it talks about raising your hands to the Lord and worshipping him with the dance and a loud voice and on the musical instruments......We re to rejoice and praise him greatly.....

1 Timothy 2:8 - I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

No, I don't, but I love to sing worship songs to him. I love the Lord, but raising my hands just isn't how I worship him. It would feel weird for me, honestly. It's just not my style of worship. But any form of worship is okay. It's not like any form is wrong as long as you're praising God.

Well, wait a minute. I guess sometimes I do. When I'm at a youth retreat with my youth group and worship songs are playing, I sometimes, with my friends, but still, wave my hands. Does that count?

Sometimes, and I really like to... but I usually do it when I'm alone because I don't want anyone to see me. Not because I'm afraid of what they might think.. they are my brothers and sisters in the Lord afterall!! I just want it to be something only to be seen and practiced between me and God. I guess I'm just more private. I don't judge anyone who does it in their church however, in front of others... I understand why they do and it is beautiful to see that other people love God like I do.

YES I DO (now), when i was younger, i thought it was abnormal. im 44, and now, when i listen to music, more and more im hearing so many people who have experienced or are looking for answers from the Lord. i myself am looking for answers and go through so many emotions. He truly is beside me. Ive been very stubborn with this issue for to long. i am truly blessed. I get angry, but HE HAS GIVEN ME SO MANY CHANCES, my everyday life, instead of saying to people when they ask me, how are you, i say IM BLESSED, i have far to go, but my quite time, i listen to music that makes me reflect on that im still here for a purpose, AND HE DOES NOT GIVE UP ON NOT ONE OF US, IF WE JUST TURN TO HIM FOR THE GUIDENCE IN MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES. HE IS WITH ME, 24/7, , . ... (YES I DO RAISE MY HANDS AND FEEL A COMPLETE RELEASE)WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC, AND TRY TO SPREAD THE WORD, (PPL LISTEN TO MUSIC AND JUST SAY THE WORDS, AND HAVE NO CLUE THAT MUSICANS ARE FINALLY REACHING OUT. im so glad that i pick that up, and either ppl will listen to the message or they wont. im glad that i finally am giving in and KNOW THAT HE IS WHAT KEEPS ME GOING. ruthie

No I do not raise my hands. I am sure when you praise him in your prayers he still comes down to us.

I don't personally raise my hands, but find no disagreement with those who do. I think that there are all kinds of ways to express worship, and mine is a little more calm.

Yes, I do...I love to be in a service where everyone is quietly praying or singing and everyone has their hands raised to God...of course,,,this usually only happens in a Pentecostal congregation....
