DODGE USES THREE DIFFERENT BELL HOUSING IN THOSE YEARS. ONE FOR THE SIX ONE FOR SMALL BLOCKS AND ONE FOR BIG BLOCK IF YOU ARE DOING A MOTOR SWAP GO WITH A 318 AND A 727 TORQUE FLIGHT TRANS NOT THE 904 TORQUE FLIGHT

To the best of my knowledge the slant six does not share a bellhousing with any Chrysler built V-8. Bellhousings will not interchange between small block sand big blocks either. I'd personally go with a small block V-8, 318's (5.2) are good engines.

They have a different bolt pattern at the motor but are the same where the bell housing connects to the transmission and are different between three speeds and four speeds in the width of the circular area that fits against the transmission.

Not with out some sort of conversion kit. Also you have to use the torque converter that was with the engine you are going to use. Chrysler engines use the converters as a balancer for that engine. If you use a different one, you will have a vibe ration.
