i"m going on 2 years in navy reserves. now i want to go active, i am an 8404 corpsman and have been denied active duty 4 times because i hold a "critical billet" but how if i am not currently serving with a marine unit ? recruiters tell me that these "enlisted community managers" are part of the reason.......

Good luck! As mentioned, if the reserves are undermanned, your chance of transfering are slim to none. You may be able to go active at a latter date, but that is pure guesswork. You may be able to change your MOS, but agian if the Reserves are undermanned............. Perhaps your best bet may be to volunter as a IA (Individual Augmentee). As an augmentee, you would serve as a full time reservest in the unit you were assigned. In short you would be a navy reservest assigned to most likely an Army unit.

you will would desire to put in a definite request chit by using your Reserve Chain of Command for " a regularly occurring remember to energetic duty". Your CO would desire to approve it then your request would be forwarded to DC. the technique is going to take a minimum of 6 months so do no longer anticipate a rapid answer. as far as your possibilities for determining to purchase picked up relies upon especially on your CREO team itemizing. If it relatively is not a minimum of a three the probabilities are high approximately nil. reliable luck.

AD HM is severely overmanned, while Reserves as a whole is undermanned.

the chances of you going Active as an HM are about slim to none.

You'd have to convert to another rate to go active. They're not taking any corpsmen to active right now. If you want more information email me.
