It isn't too hard, if you're coloring or applying heat damage to your hair, stop.
If you can't stop then try to cut back on the damage you do and ALWAYS use a protective spray on your hair beforehand.
Buying shampoo/conditioner especially made for dry, damaged, hair will help too.
Also, use a deep conditioning hair mask on your hair atleast once a week, do it more often if you want better/faster results.

Joico K-Pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for damaged hair. The conditioner can be use daily or as a deep conditioning mask.

Run a drop of jojoba oil through the ends of your hair. It will add a bit of sheen & makes a good leave in conditioner. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic & washes out easily.

Shiny Soft Hair Treatment
In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/avocado-kitchen-cupboard-beauty-tips.html

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

condition, condition, condition!
I use neutrogena's triple moisture line. The daily deep conditioner almost daily and the deep conditiong treatment/mask one-two times a week. I have done everything imaginable to my hair...I just bleached it twice...I use a straightener everyday (with a thermal spray of course) and this stuff is amazing and really inexpensive:)

try and treat it as little as possible. like dont blow dry it or flat iron it. dont color it. dont even wash it everyday, if its not nasty. in short, go as natural as possible for a while.
