If Jesus is still alive what sect of Christianity does he subscribe to? I would have thought he was an Ebionite ( the poor ones) as this was the sect founded by his family. His brother James and the apostle Peter were heads of this church. Ebionites did not believe in the divinity of Jesus or his resurrection ( for good reasons as this group witnessed the death, burial of Jesus, and the internment of his bones in an ossary after his flesh had rotted away). They were persecuted out of existence by Jews and followers of the Pauline mystery cult varieties of Christianity at about 135CE during the turmoil of the Bar Kochba ( the Jewish Messiah recognized as such by the head Rabbi of the times ) revolt.

Personally, I don't think Jesus would "belong" to ANY sect. He was never about "the boys club" of Judaism... It's an interesting question, though - should spark some good conversation!

in the Anglican church of Canada that's undesirable, yet no longer somewhat as undesirable because of the fact the Episcopal church in the u . s . a .. There are some leaders in the church who condone homosexuality or maybe help comparable intercourse marriages. however the muse situation is religious and theological. I bear in mind being at an ordination provider in the early 1990's the place a feminist hymn became sung wherein the Holy Spirit became addressed as a goddess. Come on human beings; how stupid do you think of i'm ! once you're a witch, connect a coven, do no longer come to church and declare to be a Christian! i'm a member of an orthodox Anglican church, yet when I see the path the different others are going, i will merely ask Why? once you're a Christian, it style of feels logical to stick to what the Christian God says approximately who he claims to be and to stick to his notice. If someone thinks the Christian God won't be God it merely seems logical to bypass away the Christian Church altogether. i think of human beings like that are critically mentally ill; loopy; nuts. yet we are residing in a loopy international so i think it quite is how that's.

Jesus was a Jew. However knew the Jews to have fallen away from doctrine that Moses received on Mt. Sinai. He Restored those original truths and revealed new ones. He instructed the disciples he gained and set the foundation for a new, restored religion. He sent out missionaries, set up Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Teachers for the perfecting of his followers called Saints. Local congregations were formed and Bishops presided over them. His Church would bear his name, The Church of Jesus Christ. So he belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ and he is its head.

Jesus was not a Christian. Jesus was Jewish.

If Jesus were on Earth today, I still think he would be Jewish.

Christians are followers of Jesus who believe he is the Messiah, the savior of God's people. The Messiah is a Jewish concept. Also, I find it rather hard to think that Jesus would be considered a follower of himself.

So, I don't think Jesus is/would be any sort of Christian. Jesus is/was/will be Jewish.

Jesus believed in Divine Love and not in a certain religion that would be based upon his life. He wanted to bring love, not power through religion, to the world. Having recently gone through a near death experience, what I felt was the beauty and energy of divine love, a love so great it is beyond what one can imagine hear on earth unless they have also gone through a near death experience or have become enlightened. Jesus lived a spiritual life based upon love and that would be his path today, a spiritual path, not a religion.

Jesus would not belong to any denomination of Christianity.

That is like asking to which of her fan clubs a celebrity would belong.

Jesus is God the Son.

He is the person that all Christians worship.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.

With love in Christ.

Jesus wouldn't be in any "section".
Also, He is still alive. Just not as a human.
If He was Jewish, I suppose He could be a messianic Jew.
Anyway.. I believe He'd be with the poor, lame, and destitute, etc as He was in the Bible. Not in any sort of particular church.

Jesus would head His Church. Although, I would think His teachings would be very similar to those of the LDS church, since the doctrines of this church have come through revelation from Christ.
