I'm trying to record Scarborough Fair, by Simon and Garfunkle, and doing it solo, accompanied by my accoustic guitar. It keeps coming out blah. Heck, it doesn't even hold my own interest. I have this problem with some of my music. I'm open to the possibility that it just isn't my song. But does anyone know any cool techniques to get more intensity? I've tried singing it higher.

What if you mean it?

Sing it like you mean it?

Don't worry about all the technical mess and just get back to the passion and "intensity" of saying something in a song.

The only thing I can think of is to sing it like you love the lyrics.
But if you can come up with anything else, please let me know - I have the same problem!
