Hey Guys, What's the best choice
of flux cored welding wire which
is also low hydrogen. Using shielding gas and no gas?

Your question is a little tough only because there are so many different choices and manufactures.
For instance, 0.35 or 0.45 wire can be used with CO.2 or CO.2 and Argon Mix and establish Low Hydrogen strentgh.
Now when it comes to Flux core wire's you have a huge spectrum to choose from. Inershield is one choice that is Fluxcore that is normally used on much larger projects that require 3/8 1/2 3/4 and 1" weld sizes
Pagewire has a 0.35 and 0.45 flux core wire all have different flux make up's that raise the tensile strength.
My suggestion is to check with your local Welding Gas Distributer that normally have all the information and chices from many suppliers and you can make an informed decision.

Innershield and Outershield are brand names of Lincoln flux cored wires. The main difference between these two wires is that the Outershield wire uses shielding gas to protect the welding arc and the molten puddle from the negative effect of the air while the Innershield doesn't need any shielding gas. The shielding for this wire is produced by the flux which evaporates in the arc producing a local protection. Because of the different chemistry and composition of the two fluxes within the two wire types the polarity has to be different to achieve/maintain arc stability. That is the main reason of different polarities for the two wire types. I am still puzzled as to why the machine recommends different type of wires for thicker material. I would take another look to the settings. Outershield wires are successfully used for both thick and thin materials, the only reason for using Innershield is when welding outside where gas shield can not be used because the wind disturbs the shield thus weakens the protection.
