It's funny you should post this because I just had a discussion with a girl at work about a problem she's having with her dog and she wanted some training tips.
The earth shattering problem she has is that she wants her dog to sleep on this huge fluffy pillow she's made and placed where she wants the dog to sleep and the dog has different ideas about this. Her next problem was she can't stand it when her dog meets another dog and smells it's butt and licks. It's very embarrassing and she demands it to stop right now.There must be some form of training she's not been made aware of.
We decide about every aspect of their lives from what they eat and when to how often they get to go potty.We force them to behave in a manner contrary to their nature and punish them when they act like dogs.They have brains.they have thoughts and needs and feelings and wants just like we do.If the dog would rather sleep under the table than on the drafty back porch let him be.If it means so much that he sleep on a pillow then put it under the table for him.Problem solved!
Dogs greet and get to know each other far differently than we do and she's just going to have to get used to it.They're dogs.

Well if you treat your dog as a slave you get arrested so I think it evens it self out and hey if someone wanted to feed and take care of me and let my play all day with no responsibilities at all I probably would not complain.

Humans are not the same as dogs - stupid! Dogs don't make other dogs slaves - they don't own each other, only men do that! We own animals because we are superior to them, if not, they would rule the world not us (this doesn't make us wise). We can never own other humans - it is just fundamentally wrong

if I treated a slave as I treated my dog, they wouldn't call that person a slave, they'd think she was a member of my family.
I don't think you're going to get anywhere with this one. people love their dogs like children. and nobody asks their dog to go pick crops or make dinner.

i'll own slaves the second it becomes legal. ive already got a few picked out, looks like they come from good stock, big fellows with a strong drive. they dont talk back and already say Yessir and Nossir

You don't make the dog do hard labor for no pay. And a domesticated animal is basically helpless without human influence.

are you kidding? i don't "own" my dog, she owns me, lol!! and as for slaves, no comment, this forum is about dogs.
