When spraying the paint, the paint gun also runs a generator from the air flow. The charge is transfer ed to the paint and the object to be painted is given the opposite charge. Since the paint droplets all have the same charge they repel each other giving better dispersion of the paint. At the same time the paint is attracted to the object with the opposite charge.

It is a spray painting technique that uses a spray gun than imparts a charge on the paint droplets, the charged drops are attracted to the object being painted which is given an opposite charge. The technique reduces over spray and produced an extremely even coat of paint, unfortunately it can only be used on metal objects like a refrigerator.
