For starters, if she died since about 1960ish, she is likely to be in the social security death index, which gives the exact dates. Her death certificate will give this, as well as names of her parents and other info.

You MIGHT luck out and find her in one of the transcribed cemeteries here, but that is not a guarantee. The death certificate is.

family helps, if there is family to ask. You won't have family to ask for ancestors who died in the 1800s, which is why records are used.

These are the cemeteries in the city limits of St. Louis, Missouri (there are others for St. Louis County). The first numbers (after USA) are for photo requests, the last number is the number of people buried there.

Really, without family information it would be very difficult. You could contact the offices of the cemetaries located in the county in St. Louis if you know it, but otherwise, you would have to rely on family information. Ever tried asking them?

Easiest is to check with her obit, then the church, or funeral home. For directions, search for the name of the cemetery, or try mapquest.

I can do a search for you on findagrave, but need a name. I'll beable to find her IF somebody has transcribed her name.
