No. They feed on blood and I'm sure will be nice and warm tucked in your pups fur. He needs to be treated and so does your place.

The fleas on your dog won't die because they have a food supply and the body warmth of your dog to keep them alive. Now depending on how cold it gets in your area, most fleas do die off in the winter. You should still keep your pet on a flea prevention like fontline or advantix to kill the fleas on your pet and any that he may pick up. If he picks up just a few fleas they will begin to multiply quickly. You may not have to apply the flea prevention as often in the winter since there aren't usually as many fleas. Probably once every other month should be fine.

No. If your dog has fleas they will not die just because its cold. Yes the number of fleas goes down in the winter but they are still around. If the dog lives in your home the fleas will have a wonderful winter living off your dogs blood pumping out babies in a nice warm house.

Not if they are actively living on your dog. They can't survive outside when the temperature gets too cold. But when an animal has fleas the fleas shed eggs in that animal's bed and everywhere else they lays down. Those eggs can live in a warm household, and they will just reinfect your dog. If your dog has fleas, it is best to treat him throughout the winter. Revolution, Frontline Plus, and Advantix are great topical products that kill, and prevent fleas for one month.

Unlikely, because they've got your nice warm home to live in. Fleas are not seasonal as once thought.

Your dog's fleas will only die if you kill them using a proper treatment. By 'proper treatment' I means something from a vets, like Frontline or Revolution, NOT anything from a pet store. Pet stores are not licensed to sell proper flea treatments so anything you get from a store will not work.

No the fleas will not die. You need to give a good bath with flea/tick shampoo and start giving a 1/month vitamin that will take care of ticks, fleas, heartworm, etc.

Yes but they have laid eggs so they will come back as soon as its warm. If you keep the dog in the house they will stick around because its warm. You need to give him a flea dip.

Yes, they will unless you have the dog in a house that is constantly warm. You can use 7 Dust on your dog as well as on your carpets like Carpet Fresh. It is made out of Chrysanthemum flowers and won't harm your pet. It doesn't kill the eggs so you'll need to repeat as necessary. It is available at Kmart, Walmart and so forth in the garden section.
