Well, that keeps the advocacy groups powerful, doesn't it? I mean, if immigrants had their own voice they wouldn't need or necessarily believe what advocacy groups are trying to tell them is in their best interest.
Over history, MANY in power have not wanted their followers to be educated enough to question those leading them.

i did not recognize there changed into immigrant hatred.yet another trumped up charge to empty money from those with bleeding hearts. How can money "fix" hatred besides? Are they going to purchase the love of the individuals who allegedly hate the immigrants? i do not hate legal immigrants,i do not hate unlawful extraterrestrial beings.I do favor guard borders and deportation of the those who're right here via unlawful skill..unlawful extraterrestrial beings favor to go back to their own u . s .'s. After reading the most suitable extra information I see the position they are going with this.hi i'm enthusiastic about English being taught to all and sundry that would favor to study it.To stay in some parts of this u . s . its a need.once you get a fashion from the border states you do not see this style of large volume of those who do not talk English.I do experience that in case you stay in a rustic the position 82% of the inhabitants speaks English then it must be to the great factor about the none English speaker to study. after all it really is the dominate language, contained in the united states.

America should be the most multi-lingual country in the world, but we are not. English is the cohesion. Please list the advocacy groups that say this. We will send them our thoughts on this. And they should explain to the people they advocate that if they don't learn English, they will be staying on the bottom rung of society.
When I visit Mexico, I at least try to speak Spanish. And they usually smile at me for making the attempt. It would be nice to have some of that consideration from people actually moving to our country.

How do you know what they tell immigrants? Why don't you ask the advocacy groups? Technically, nobody has to learn English, but it does make life easier if we all know each other's language.

They are too shortsighted to see the advantages that this could give to an immigrant. If however, they are doing this with the purpose of keeping more immigrants in the physical labor sector, they are doing this so that immigrants cannot pursue lines of work that require more proficient communication skills.

I'm glad that they don't learn English. As long as they are illegal and illiterate in English they will never have the ability to vote or have any influence in government. We will continue to beat them with the law.

to keep them down??? because how will they ever move forward in an english speaking country if they do not speak the language??
it keeps the bilinguals in jobs...and it supports the ones running around screaming "RACISM!"...
it is utterly reprehensible to give such advice...

Because those groups don't care about the US or our laws. They all want open borders so that anyone that walks across is automatically given citizenship and handed their first welfare check.
