Looks like he is doing fine.-- Qualified for Phoenix--ahead of many other drivers with years of experience!!!!

Open wheelers are better drivers then some of the NASCAR drivers...Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and Robby Gordon have open wheel experience...AJ is the exception, he's with Toyota.

Sam Hornish Jr. isn't that great of a driver to begin with, but the transition will be difficult. The cars are more heaver, not as maneuverable or not as nimble, and a lot more drivers on the field. The good thing is he is driving for Penske, the transition should be a little easier....

IRL sucks....

There are a pair of uneventful races this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for unfavorable Sam. What i at the instant are not getting is the Rookie of the three hundred and sixty 5 days standards. you be responsive to that even even with the certainty that he has had a complicated 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, it has to have been greater advantageous valuable than Regan Smith's 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i'm waiting to basically remember 2 or 3 races have been the 01 grow to be something greater advantageous appropriate than an after thought. fairly a shame given the season Mark Martin gave them very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days indoors the 01.

Sam Hornish has lots of racing experience, He should do OK
he is young enough the learning curve should be less ,,
They raced maybe 13 races a year in the I.R.L.
These guys want to race ,Maybe he made the right choice
THE MONEY IS IN NASCAR..

It's awesome. Sams a great driver.

I love all forms of racing. I don't care if a figure 8 bus driver from Istanbul comes to NASCAR

Or better yet. How about a rickshaw driver from Thailand. Yeah thats better.

I welcome him and look forward to seeing how well he can do along with the rest of the open wheel crowd. He actually qualified today. I hope he respects those racing for the championship and realizes he hasn't done much better than 30th place in the minor league busch series.

The truth is he started 9 Busch races and his average finish is 31.6. Not a record you would normally equate with a promotion to cup.

I'd say sammy isn't making a very smooth transition from open-wheel to NASCAR. He's failed to qualify for several races and hasn't finished very well in the ones he managed to qualify for. maybe he should go back to the IRL, he was pretty successful there.. just a thought.

He has a lot to learn. I think he should be racing trucks and busch til he gets the hang of stock cars better.
