if you were my kid I would love to tell you HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I am ashamed at your parents for not telling you HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I wish I could give you a big hug - you need it a lot. One day they will regret their actions!!!!!
Try to make the best of the situation - perhaps go out for pizza and a movie with a good friend and celebrate your birthday with them instead.
HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! I think some parents are a disgrace in today's society and my parents (which I broke up with in April this year) are no exception. My parents have never held a birthday party since I was 8 years old. I am 25 years old this year and I didn't even have a 25th birthday. I frankly believe that many parents disregard their children so much these days that all they do is bring them into this world and neglect them. That is absolutely awful!

The "birthday" is suppose to be the most important day in a person's life because it is a symbol that you are here (i.e you were born on that day). I personally think failure to hold any birthdays at any age demonstrates an extreme lack of worth on the part of parents. They are pretty much not acknowledging your existence and my parents are no exception of this. I was raised by very strict parents who were extremely conservative.

You would think that parents should have better values and place these values on their children. I sometimes think that parents are more loving of each other than they are towards their children (and again my parents are no exception). They are prepared to do anything for each other but nothing for their children (not even a birthday celebration).

I am a vegetarian, a final year student studying Health Science at university, of Buddhist religion, worked in the hospital system and of Vietnamese nationality. Believe me, it's a tragedy not to celebrate a birthday. No human would exist if they were not born. Some parents are awfully cruel and I convey my deepest sympathies to you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND GREETINGS TO YOU! XXX

If they did get you things, are yelling at you for no reason, and don't say anything to you about your birthday, then there is pretty much one explanation. A big thing is going through their lives right now. They at least remembered to get you something though, so be grateful for that. They are probably really distracted because they had a big fight, your dad got fired, or something else, and they haven't told you. Confront your parents, but not about your birthday first, ask them if anything is wrong. I'm sure that something probably is.

Happy Birthday.!

I am here to tell you that my 14th was less than celebrated. I was so upset, how could thay have forgotten, and the one parent who DID remember didn't get my anything I asked for, he got me everything his wife wanted to get for me, and she's the new wife, she doesnt even KNOW me.
I'm here to tell you that as the years pass you'll learn to find ways to celebrate your special day and find happiness that no one can squash. I'm 33 now, totally well adjusted and my birthday is MY day. I do something for ME with ME and no one else. (long walk, write in a journal, go to a movie, or go shopping) Make that kind of attutide your birthday present to YOU. Take care of YOU. And happy birthday!

I am sorry your parents are so stressed out on life that they have lost sight of the most important thing in their life which is you!!

they maybe going through some hard times, that you are not aware of right now, But you are important to them and hopefully soon they will come to see this fact, It is clear you are a loving person, so look your self in the mirror and tell your self how great you are and how much you love yourself,
thats why so many people turn to drugs and drink, because they don't like who they are ---they don't love themselves
****God loves you,**** and please take this **********HAPPY 14th, BIRTHDAY******** from me as I send it with my best wishes, Nancy in Oregon
