If you're not the shy type, definitely go for it! If you wait, you might lose him to another girl. However, before you start chasing after him, try to gather some intelligence to see if he has any feelings for you. Try to find out from his friends (discreetely) whether he ever says anything about you. Also, when a guy is interested in a girl, will often try to find excuses to hang around and talk with her. If he never makes any attempt to talk with you etc he might not be interested. Good luck in you mission!
Note as the answerer above stated, some guys are very nervous about a girl asking them out, but some guys love the attention when the girl does the chasing!

Wait for HIM TO ASK. You..makin the first move, may look wrong. (for some guys).!!! Nomatter how shy the guys is, if he likes you a lot, he'll ask.
