Of Dale Sr were nonetheless alive i do not imagine he must be racing anymore. somebody else ought to have probable died if it hadn't been him. he's the reason each and each and every of the variations were made contained in the first position. who's to say notwithstanding he ought to have endured racing to on the instantaneous and probably received some extra races probable no longer a championship yet some races. Jr doesn't be the most universal if Sr changed into nonetheless round to on the instantaneous it ought to both be Sr or Gordon. flow JAMIE MAC

Do I think he would of well No he was on the down slope as ED P stated I think you could of gotten a mark martin type season maybe out of him but I believe racing at that level is a younger mans sport.

Why all the negativity to Ed P who had a clearly stated response backed up with facts...Darn Lemmings saw the name Earnhardt and the "have to support" factor went off.

There is no way he was getting better. His best years were in the Aero war days. He was still a decent driver but come on are you for real with the "he was getting better" stuff?

ed P my man you hit the nail on the head way to give a well backed up answer.

It's hard to say. He might have but gosh we never will find out and that is a shame. He may of quit as soon as they put this idiotic chase into effect. Most old timer hate it. they don't like the count down or what ever that is called over in the NHRA.
My guess is he would be running a select group of race tracks and put his main time on DEI. Him and Richard probably would team up and put there minds together and would be like a big duel team but under the 2 names.
One thing I would like to think is that he would raise some hell about these childish rule changes. I believe he would grab that butt muncher Brian France by the adams apple and and and well I can't say what I think he would do but you know he would let it be known that he doesn't like the silly stuff that BF started doing.

I think(I wasn`t a big Dale Sr. fan) BUT if he hadn`t gotten
killed in 2001, He would have raced 3or4 more years
and I believe in my heart he would have won another Championship he would have been retired when they
Introduced the C.O.T. By the way i`m a Gordon fan
But you can`t anything away from Earnhardt,,,he could get the job done

Take a look at the stats Ed P posted. He didn't have one or two mediocre years....he had several in a row. I don't think he would have gotten another championship. He'd have raced 1-2 more years and gotten a few more wins.

For those who think that The Chase wouldn't have come about if he were alive...... Are you for real with that?

I r4eally can't say yes or no but I do think that the rules and regs that the Frances have thrown out there would not have come so rapidly if he were stiff racing.

If Dale Sr. were still alive he would have retired by now, and DEI would be very competitive with RCR, Roush racing and HMS, because he would be in charge of DEI.

Ray, the France family has been involved with NASCAR from it's inception.

probably not another championship being that when he was alive his focus was going more into the car owner aspect but you best believe he would have won many more races r.i.p.

He probably would have gotten 1 more championship..But he would definitely be retired by now..He'd be in control at DEI, and they would be more competitive, and probably Jr would have a championship by now....Boy, did this great driver die way before his time....R.I.P. Dale Sr
