i have really thick and poofy hair.. its not completely straight, but not very wavy or curly. I've tried scrunching my hair and it actually seems to work, but it takes A LOT of mousse. Im tired of just straightening my hair and the only problem is it looks poofy and weird at the top, so does anyone have any suggestions or a similar hair type? Also, i use this aussie srunching spray and its really sticky and works well, but it smells SOOOOOOOO bad! Do you know of any good scrunching sprays i can put on my hair after i put in mousse (it needs to be very sticky and last all day).. thanks :)

I have the same problem and am looking for other products than Aussie, I use it but your right it is sooooo sticky, I tried the generic brand for Bed Head scrunch spray "Beyond the Zone" but its just as sticky, I also use the Beyond the Zone Noodle Head Creme and Curl boosting spray I really like that alot I get it at Sallys Beauty Supply

I have hair that is naturally just a little wavy. I use products to either go curly or straight. I use Redken Ringlets or Catwalk Curls Rock. I think they both work pretty well in taming my curls. You can't use a lot because they will get sticky. Too much of any product is going to get sticky. I have tried products that make my hair sticky, I can't stand that. These products and mousse should hold any hair all day. And if you use the amount they say to use on the bottle it works and your hair isn't stiff. It feels pretty good.

hon basically any hairspray will do the same thing. Just dont buy the freeze spray, your hair will be hard as a rock, buy a more flexible spray , i think pantene makes a flexible spray! and i hate the smell of aussie sprunch spray too. i use sauve brand. it is in a green bottle, called curl enhancing gel. it is a spray gel, in a green bottle

You sound like me a few years ago, I think what you really need is moisture. Check your shampoos and conditioners and styling, alcohol is your enemy! Try a good leave in, I use Infusium 23, or even a damage control product meant for repair, Cholesterol works well, try Sally's.
