Yes, you can have an allergic reaction to wheat grass regardless if you are allergic to wheat or not.
People who are allergic or intolerant to wheat, can usually handle wheat grass just fine.

One point to remember is----- that it is common to have a lot of MOLD growing in the trays along with the wheat grass, espec. at commercial places which sell fresh wheat grass juice. A person can have a reaction after drinking wheat grass, and it could be from the mold...which is a more common allergen..
