Why not?

They should be fine as long as you pay attention to both equally. I have a 8 lb. Pom (4 yrs) and a 65 lb. yellow lab (9 yrs.). They both get along ok. The Pom understands that the lab is the alpha dog (the leader of the pack) and they both get along great. They both sleep with me and my husband in our king size bed every night. Each has their own spot on the bed.

the only way two dogs or any animal for that matter can get along is if u give them equal amounts of attention and it doesn't matter what breed of dog you have dogs will sometimes get into disputes with one another its not the breed thats at fault with every living creature its all about territory and who is established as alpha dog
