How could some people like the taste/feel of fatty chicken wings and not like crisp well done chicken wings?

My wife is that way with bacon.... she only likes it soggy and greasy, not crisp.
Because when she was a kid, her mom would make bacon, and make it that way because she didn't know how to cook it properly.
But my wife associates soggy greasy bacon with special times and memories of childhood with her mom.
SOOOO...... it's probably an emotional thing with the chicken wings you are talking about..... somehow, it's a "comfort" food.

Good question...I only like them extra crispy. They are gross and make me want to become a vegetarian when they are underdone, and the skin is all soft and pimply...ewww!
