Give him a bath, and he should be good for awhile. If you over bathe a dog you tend to do more harm than good. They will start to develop try flaky skin and even a rash. Please make sure you read directions, some shampoos shouldn't be used on puppies of a certain age.

If you got him at 7 weeks you may want to look into getting him his shots...take him to a vet when you get a chance. They will tell you all of the shots he needs and put him on schedule.

i'm a canine groomer and consumers regularly come as quickly as a month for a tub, dry and clip. although there are some consumers that get there canine washed a week and clipped each and every 2nd week. It relies upon on the canine, it is grimy behavior, and proprietor's decision. additionally what breed is your canine? 2-thrice an afternoon is a honest attempt for a three month outdated canine. My Shepherds have been filled if that they had 2 an afternoon.

once a month, if stench is too bad take the puppy to the vet to make sure it doesn't have a skin infection that is causing the smell

Hah, I had the SAME problem! We have a pug/beagle mix and she smells like... dog! We wash her one a week with doggie shampoo and in between I wipe her down every night with doggy wipes. We got them at the pet store and they smell like lavender. Don't wash her too much, her skin could get dry. Baby powder also helps.
