We have still yet to see any evidence of one species becoming another. Variations in the same species doesn't equate to evolution. For all we know at this stage is that those variations are preprogrammed in the DNA as possible variations. Mixing of DNA may make a new type of dog, but it is still a dog. So, even if a complex single cell organism managed to spontaneously form with perfect parts one time or even a thousand times, it wouldn't account for the wonderful variety of life here on Earth.

Take this:

We didn't 'evolve from monkeys' - if you have any understanding of evolutionary biology at all you’d be able to tell that the question makes no sense – humans and monkeys have both evolved from a common ancestor approximately 40 million years ago.

Rephrased in these terms it would be like you saying 'If I had a common grandfather with my cousin, why do my cousins still exist?'

You see? Phrased like that you begin to perceive the holes in the theory – the implicit assumption that human beings are the 'point' of evolution - only religious people make that mistake. The question is probably more devastating when asked to a religious person – if we were all created then why are there monkeys? The creationist can’t explain the purpose of an animal other than man which is not man’s food or servant because they believe the Universe was made for them alone.

Neo-darwinists can easily explain why there are other animals, because that’s just what you’d expect to see, with branching trees that show evolutionary relationships and these are of course, genetic relationships. What do you think it means to say that you’re a mammal? It denotes a genetic, familial relationship. It means you have a common ancestor with all the other mammals more than 200,000,000 years ago! You might as well ask if we came from dust, why is there still dust? If you’re honest with yourself, it’s easy to see which theory of our origins is based on reality and which is a merely a pre-scientific allegory from bronze-age storytelling. Science doesn’t ask you for any faith. Go to a museum, examine the evidence for yourself. Draw whatever conclusions you think make sense and be critical.

Biologists have understood and accepted since Victorian times that we're not the destined pinnacle of evolutionary adaptation, just an unexpected adaptation, one minor twig on the branch that is Mammalia. The Universe may not have a purpose for us, but we can always make our own.

Sweetheart, we didn't evolve from monkeys. Humans and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor which migrated to different geographical environments and adapted accordingly.

Secondly, what does atheism have to do with evolution? Both of them make too much sense to be considered by Christians?

No, Humans have not evolved from monkeys. Scientists have tried to put the links together, but failed. There is no proof, scientifically, fossils or otherwise, to suggest in anyway that the ape or any other monkeys evolved to become upright human beings.
Earth, the animals and every single living creature from microorganisms to the human race God created.
Earth and all living creatures are Gods taste. God created everything so everything has Gods stamp DNA can be linked to all creation because God made everything so yes there are DNA links.
Leviathan......
Yes, all living things have some common DNA, but that's because all things were created by the same creator "GOD". So it's just common sense to know all living things have some familiar links.
Have a look at the DNA of a pig and humans, very similar, why??? because God created both pig and human, but that go's for all creatures too.
The thing that separates us from the animals and other creatures is that we were created in the image of God! We were created to be sons and daughters of the most high and God gave us Dominion over all the earth. God gave us a choice to follow him or not, its up to us!

So yes there are familiar links with all living creatures including us, but humans never evolved from any animal or microorganism.

"andyingr" BECAUSE GOD DIDN'T WANT TO CREATE A BUNCH OF CLONES. GOD CREATED US ALL DIFFERENTLY AND THAT GOES FOR ALL CREATION. GOD DOESN'T WANT A BUNCH OF CLONES HE WANTED US AND ALL ANIMALS TO BE INDIVIDUALS. THERE IS NO ANIMAL, NO HUMAN WITH THE SAME DNA, MARKINGS, ETC....HOWEVER, THERE ARE DNA LINKS IN ALL CREATION BECAUSE GOD MADE ALL THINGS!

Because some humans evolved back to monkeys, of course.

It is a great question because regardless of whether or not the monkeys are what evolutionists teach is our common ancestor, there is no fossil evidence of any transitional forms. If there was a split, what was the monkeys common ansestor?

If a frog turns into a handsome prince quickly we all know it’s a fairy tale, but if a frog turns into a prince slowly it is modern science.

I think that thats where god comes in. I think that god made humans "humans and not animals" because he gave us consciousness of emotions, instincts, thoughts, laws of nature, etc.

All animals came from a cell that developed differently due to climate, availability of food, conditions of life etc. Thats why some species fly, swim, walk, crawl, or have spines. For example: a horse use to be the size of a cat. But over many millions of years it became large. Why? Because the conditions of its enviroment changed and it needed to adapt. Survival of the fittest.

we didn't evolve from monkeys. and there are still other species because only one group evolved, not the whole thing.
that's like asking if there are dogs why are there still wolves, obviously because not all the wolves changed into dogs.

I always enjoyed that question, we were genetically altered by a higher being, but that being isn't the father of Christ but an Alien tribe called God, nephilim who would have as slaves to gather gold for them. So the mythology goes, it's in "The Lost Book Of Enki".
