Blood is never good in a dogs stool. Take him to the vet ASAP.

Blood in the stool is always an indicator of something wrong going on. Make an appt with your vet and try to collect a fecal sample to take with you for testing. It could just be he needs to be dewormed, but it could also be something more serious that just hasn't progressed to the point that it's affecting his behavior.

My dog had some blood in his stool and turned out he had whip worms, now he always has to be on heartworm pills year round because its very easy to catch again if not protected. Its not very expensive but make sure you take him, if not it could cause serious problems. Good Luck!

Honestly, if you have to ask that question on here, you shouldn't even own a dog!! Of course it needs to be seen by a vet.....blood in his stool is not normal!!!

yes! When any animal (cat, rabbit etc.) appears to have blood in his urine and/or stool then your animal is sick inside and should therefore go to a visit to the vets.
