I also like to use CCleaner. It will get rid of cookies for you as well and fix registry issues.
You could also use Firefox and set it to remove cookies after your close the browser, that way you don't have to go into your adaware or CCleaner to remove them.

Adaware is really good for getting rid of malicious content (or content that could become malicious). There's nothing wrong with using it to delete files, since generally the stuff it gets rid of is cookies and the Most Recent Updated files. You can do without all those.

You shouldn't really need to do it once a day. Once a week is more than enough to scan. Adaware's the best there is, it's got there by being good for your computer ;)

Ad-Aware is a pretty decent program. I use it quite often. It's good for your computer - it clears up any adware or spyware programs that could be giving you popups or viruses and deletes cookies and saves you space.

Most of the files you are deleting are internet cookies. But, no, it's not bad either way.
