I just saw a question where someone complained that Atheists are know-it-alls. Just wondering.

Well, that person made a generalization, and you know what we do with people who judge others around here...

No worse, no better. "Know-it-all" types are just annoying. Although "know-it-all" atheists do seem to know more then "know-it-all" theists. But that just seems to be because the atheists talk about things they know about, like science. While many theists talk about things they don't know about, like science. If the were talking about specific chapters in the bible, the theists would know more.

Interesting question. I would say they rank about the same. With the exception being that i think more atheists actually do know more.

It never ceases to amaze me how many are afraid of a little knowledge. I think they are afraid of what they might learn. Even the bible says without knowledge a person is screwed. It says, My people perish for lack of knowledge. Wake up call.

id say so. and not just because im an atheist.

id say that its better because come on....at least were trying. whats worse? saying something and have it be corrected by someone who might have the correct answer? or not saying anything at all?

i dont know about you but id rather have a conversation with a know-it-all than someone whose just goign to say "i dont know' to everything.

at least the know-it-all will have the perception of education...

I'd rather be a know it all whose subject is based in the natural than the super-natural. But that's just me.

Know-it-alls bug everyone in general.

There is no such thing as either. If Atheists knew everythiong, they would know there is a GOD, If Theists knew nothing, they could not know there is a GOD.

and a theist being a person that believes in a God? it seems to me that you have it wrong. It is the people who don't believe in God that are lacking information.

They're both the same. Atheists close their minds to God because they don't think He's worth investigating. So much for the scientific method.
