In the Garden of Eden, humans disobeyed God's command and ate of the "Fruit of Wisdom", but what if they had eaten of the "Fruit of Life" instead?

The Sumerians called it the bread of life and the water of life. Sounds like communion, doesn't it? This bread and water not only gave immortality to those that ate and drank, but also would resuscitate one who had died. This is where the Fruit of Life came from.

I think that is what may await us in heaven. Think about it. God closed the Garden of Eden to protect the trees. At the end I think we may get to eat from the Tree of Life.

Read the last chapter of Revelation, it talks about this tree.

Eden Restored
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

nicely, we are all born with a ethical experience, yet that doesn't consistently recommend we hear to it. Bible=elementary training till now Leaving Earth "and that they which heard it, being convicted by utilising their own ethical experience, went out one by utilising one, beginning up on the eldest, even unto the final: and Jesus became left on my own, and the female status in the midst" (John 8:9). in the hot testomony. via this pricking of their consciences, Jesus had prevented a mob from stoning a woman charged with adultery, for via it, the accusers known their own unworthiness to decide yet another. A ethical experience might nicely be a solid instruction manual, although, provided that that's a great ethical experience. The Scriptures on the different hand, talk of a few who've a "susceptible ethical experience" (I Corinthians 8:7,10,12) that could develop right into a "defiled ethical experience" (Titus a million:15) and at last a "seared ethical experience" (I Timothy 4:2) or maybe an "evil ethical experience" (Hebrews 10:22). If used authentic, although, the moral experience is a blessing. God has given us a ethical experience to assist instruction manual us. The question is, what makes a ethical experience "good"? There are 2 references in Scripture to a "organic ethical experience" (I Timothy 3:9; II Timothy a million:3) and 6 to a "good ethical experience" (Acts 23:a million; I Timothy a million:5,19; Hebrews 13:18; I Peter 3:sixteen,21), yet none of those tell how any such ethical experience is gained. the answer to this necessary question seems to be chanced on in the apostle Paul's testimony till now Felix: "And herein do I workout myself, to have consistently a ethical experience void of offense in the direction of God, and in the direction of adult men" (Acts 24:sixteen). The "workout" (actually "practise") which had produced any such ethical experience in Paul, he mentioned, became this: "So worship I the God of my fathers, believing all issues that are written in the regulation and in the prophets" (Acts 24:14). A lifelong learn of the Scriptures, accompanied by utilising absolute faith of their veracity and authority, had produced in Paul a good, organic, good, solid ethical experience, and it will do an analogous for us.

They probably did, until they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (I like your name for it, fruit of wisdom) it wouldn't be a problem because they weren't fallen, in a sinful state. After they ate the fruit of wisdom they needed to be able to die to be able to be resurrected with a perfect body.

They could have up until the ate of the tree of knowledge. Once they did that they could not eat of the tree of life because they would have been stuck in that immortal state with no chance for progression and the plan of God would have been frustrated.

They would have lived forever.

"And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden..." (Genesis 3:22-23)

Ez..31:8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.
That Tree was Satan
The tree of Life was Christ

The story would have been a lot shorter.
Perhaps more people would actually read the entire Bible.
