I understand the debate over the current global warming, except for the naysayers who say that "global warming is the biggest fraud perpetuated against the planet." What puzzles me is this...Why on earth would anyone want to perpetuate such a fraud? What would be the logical purpose for that?

There is fraud in science, always has been. If you try a search on google for scientific fraud you will find lots of discussion on the subject.

Some of the greatest scientists in history are believed to have comitted scientific fraud (e.g. sir Isacc Newton).

Scientists are not saints and there are so many motives for scientific fraud - it pays off in money, fame, promotions and it's hard to police.

Leftists love to make up problems only really big government programs and government regulations can solve. If we buy into their scam, we will stand to lose trillions of dollar to it, not to mention a ruined economy, absolute control over our lives (for the "greater good"), loss of personal freedoms--nothing is too big a sacrifice to the gods of the environmentalist religion.

It's not hard to check out the Who's Who of the United Nations and their underlings in the IPCC and then ask yourself if alot of em out for this countries best interest or their own.

Climatology in some countries consists of shaking a rattle and throwing sparky dust into the fire. maybe roll some old bones out on the mat and read how they fall if they more technical.

Increased gov. control of business. More regulations, more bird-dogging by the governmental buacracy (sp). Need for bigger gov. to control big business and have their finger in our every day lives because we are soooo dumb that we cannot do it ourselves. Smells like democrats to me.
