I have a PS3, and althought DVD's and games play fine on my TV, blue ray movies come out in black and white (no matter what I change the video settings to).

I have a 24" CRT tv, and its connection via scart.

The PS3 has the latest firmware, and it happens with all blue ray movies.

HELP PLEASE!

I've heard of this problem before with Blu-Ray DVD's and the Playstation 3.

The reason why your Blu-Ray DVD's look black and white on your CRT T.V. is that some Blu-Ray DVD's require that you have a HDTV.

I have one Blu-Ray DVD and when I played it with my PS3 on my 20'' CRT tv, the picture looked just like it should, but some Blu-Ray DVD's require that you have a HDTV.

Yeah, I know this probably sucks, but in 2009, all T.V. networks will be required to broadcast in a digital format, so by then you will need an HDTV, or some type of converter box for your T.V. that you have.

blu-ray is meant to be on a HDTV because of its resolution
