Not "going to."
Right now I have a life that is full and free and deeply rewarding. Every day I come to know His love a little more and nothing is better than that.
Heaven, or afterlife, or whatever you want to call it, is just icing on the cake.

I think people generally do. But when you consider Creation, then you might realise we were all granted special rewards prior to our birth. We are for example individuals. I like you may have many people of the same christian and surname;but none of them are me.God granted me myself. Also he granted me intelligence and free will. I don't think God actually interferes with our lives. But I do know many people think God cares in some way.I believe he did have a divine plan for me, and I am following that plan.So no amount of me praying for change will work, as it's already worked out. So I might as well accept my lot.

Of course. EVERYONE who worships any god / God expects that the god / God they serve will benefit them in some way, whether it be spiritual enlightenment or with monetary goods.

Do people really commit genocide? Did people really practice slavery? Do random acts of violence occur often?
