I find myself right now eating a popsicle while shivering and complaining about the cold. I do the same with ice cream, but no matter how cold it is (it cane be 5 degrees farenheit outside) and i'll still eat cold stuff like this. Is this just something stupid New Englanders do, or do others do it too?

My mother says it's satisfying to eat something cold during cold weather and we live in Las Vegas, NV. I know it doesn't compare to the cold of the east coast but I thought it might give you a little insight.
