I think that they are different. Karma is universal law of cause and effect. It has nothing to do with morals or religion. God however, rewards the good and punishes the bad. Therefore, karma exists for atheists and God for the Christians.

Not quite.
Hindus accept Karma and they believe in God, as well as many lesser deities.
Karma may not be religious in nature, but it can certainly be a useful consideration in any system of morality.

I think that Karma exists for everyone regardless of what religion you practice or lack thereof. You get back the energy that you put out and when you wrong others it will comes back to you just as if you do good deeds you will be rewarded with the same. Even those that don't believe in karma are affected by it.
