I'm looking for healthy ways to prepare broccoli so I eat it more often, (that taste good too)...and trying to incorporate more beans as well.(Kidney, lima, pinto, black, etc). Thanks!

well everymorning i make my 6 egg white omelette with ground turkey and BROCOLLI, i find it a great way to get it in there being that your body burns more calories breaking down the brocolli then the brocolli actually offers. As for the beans, mix them in with some brown rice and have it on the side with dinner, it's great with chicken.

Soak some beans overnight, boil them as per the packet instructions, then put in an oven proof bowl, mix with tinned chopped tomatoes and herbs, and top with cheese or cheese sauce.
Bake until it looks done. It's a great meal if you like beans, gives you any combination that you want and will keep nicely if you don't eat it all at once.
Broccoli is best eaten lightly steamed or boiled as an accompaniment, but broccoli cheese is good - made the same way as cauli cheese. My favourite way to eat broccoli is in a stir fry. Make sure the pieces are small and that you are using a good oil like Canola.

Steamed Broccoli topped with sea salt, garlic powder , add to taste ground pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. just a drizzle. Having the Broccoli steamed most it's of the nutritious values intact.
For Kidney ,Pinto or Lima beans I prefer to boil them myself, but if you are not sure or short on time you can just use the caned ones, once in a while. Rinse them well add to taste , chopped red onion, chopped 1/2 clove garlic, chopped sweet tomatoes , chopped fresh cilantro, sea salt and black pepper , the juice of 2 squeezed limes and olive oil..
It makes my mouth waters just as I type this. Great healthy snack or side dish to any meat.

I hate broccoli no matter how it's prepared, but you could always try it in a stir-fry mixed with other veggies. You could also steam it and serve with other veggies and grains.

As for beans, you can use kidney and pinto beans to make chili. You can use black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans with rice. Garbanzo beans (a.k.a. chick peas), you can eat as falafel or hummus or try to find a channa masala recipe. Lima beans have a cardboardy texture to me, but you can make bean salads with them. You can use beans instead of beef to make tacos and burritos.

you will definitely lose weight with that diet, but it does not sound very good... it sounds a little "over-healthy". are you a vegan ? if not, you should have some dairy products in your diet; milk, cheese, yogurt etc., to get calcium and vitamin D. some wholegrain breads, pastas etc. are not a bad idea, just as long as you AVOID white pasta, white rice, white bread, white pastries etc. if you're the kind of vegetarian that eats eggs, you should have some once in a while. they're good for you, just as long you don't have them too often. you should also add nuts into your diet. even though they have quite a lot of calories in them, they have "good fats" that are good for you. (also for example avocado) you might also want to take some vitamin C, because you don't get it from many products. only drinking water sounds boring... how about green tea, for example ? it is very good for your digestion. also milk, as i previously mentioned, would be good... and how about 100% fruit juices ? the most important thing while trying to lose weight in a healthy way is to NEVER BE HUNGRY. the way to lose weight healthily is to eat often (once in every 2-3 hours) but only small portions. just don't try to lose a lot of weight very fast. if you do it slowly and healthily, you have a better chance of not gaining back the weight after losing it. AND to lose weight, you should not only think about your eating habits but you might also want to consider adding the amount of exercise you do (: good luck, hope i could help ! (:

man just take the right vitamins and supplements to replace them. but you can tie the broccoli on a stick and attach it to your shoulder so it looks like it is sneaking up on you and use that to help you run.
the beans if you mix cold black beans in with a little corn and a light salsa it makes a good salad dressing on a southwesten grilled chix salad...

well, you definitely have to watch how long you cook brocolli. If you overdue it, it will come out mushy and you will essentially lose all the good vitamins and minerals in it.

Try steaming broccoli or cooking it on a flat top grill.

I hate both of those, so I love having Japanese food and getting vegetable tempura. I barely taste the vegetables =)
