Who exactly thinks this?

I don't know why people believe that religion can solve everything. I certainly don't believe that. I know God can solve every problem, but religion is just the collection of beliefs and understandings about God, with a bunch of men's interpretations thrown in.

God and faith in God can solve all kinds of problems. But religions are imperfect and flawed, so they run into problems that they cannot solve. Still, many religions can accomplish quite a lot, and without religions there would be much more suffering in the world than there is.

First, you need to understand that religion is MAN'S way of trying and failing miserably to reach God or who they think God ought to be. I am a Christian and I hate religion. That is not what God wanted! All He wanted was a personal relationship with each and every one of us. A personal relationship-friend, teacher, mentor, Father, or God. Is that really asking so much? It is not religion but God who can solve everything. Will He? Oh, eventually. But every wrong WILL be paid back...How? I have no clue. I am straying from my point. He loves us so much that He gave up His only Son, who NEVER SINNED, loved us all, had kind words and deeds flow from Him like Niagara Falls, and we (humans) killed Him. Would you give up your son or daughter? No, not for a friend or loved one. Would you for someone who thought you were either a raving lunatic, a "fake", or simply didn't even want to get to know or know about you. He did. Jesus died for us because there had to be some payment of the huge debt of sin we have racked up like the National Deficit. So, the perfect human who is also God took all our sins upon Himself to get beaten with a multi-thonged whip with sharp pieces of metal in it to tear away skin as the torturer pulled back the whip for another strike, to get spit on, laughed at, tripped as He carried a heavy cross, kicked, and to top it all off, He gets nailed to a cross and hung up to suffocate VERY slowly. For us. He is the one who can solve everything. The Lord Jesus Christ.

Religion can't but Jesus sure can, and he will. He created all things, and he can sure fix them..
You may believe in the U.S., but look at what is happening to our economy at the moment, and it is not going to come back once it really goes.. The world financial power is going to transfer to Europe and the euro will be the new world money.

People solve problems.
Religion, or lack thereof, is a medium that helps them find their way.

"Religion is the opiate of the masses."

It makes THEM feel good, so it has to fix what ails YOU.

Sadly, people who have those beliefs are extremely stubborn about them -- and about their desire to push them onto other people...
