I'm wondering because I think my good friend might be anorexic. She says that she is not anorexic because she still eats. But she eats very little! For lunch, all she has is a tiny bowl of rice krispies and skim milk everyday! She says that if she was anorexic, she would be skipping lunch. In school, we've always learned that anorexic people think that they are obese. My friend doesn't think she is obese. She knows that that she is skinny because people tell her, but thinks she's not skinny enough! She keeps loosing more and more weight and she is always cold. Does this sound like anorexia, or just a body image problem?

problem with anorexia is that it is classified as a disorder because of fact people will deny of such thing like drinking problem. not enough info, could be body image but remember that the problem leads to anorexia. if she skips meal and eats only one, twice a day of small portion then it may seem like it. Anorexia is like a drinking problem many just deny it and dont even realize they have a problem if she is skinny and wishes to be more skinny (although knows she is skinny) then she has a problem and you need her to stop cause later on if she realizes that she is anorexic then it will be hard for her to go back to normal life of eating even three meals which will feel like impossible to do for awhile

It's an eating disorder. It doesn't have to be specifically anorexia to be serious though. If her body isn't getting enough nutrients and she is losing too much weight she could become very ill. It is a body image problem, but sounds like she defeniatly has an eating disorder. Maybe contact a school councellor or a teacher/parent that you trust and let them know that you are worried about your friend. This is assuming that you've talked to your friend already or are uncomfortable doing so.

It sounds like your friend has a problem if she eats very little, is losing weight and still thinks she's not skinny enough. And if she doesn't eat any actual meals with nutritional value than she's definitely anorexic or if her biggest meal is a bowl of cereal. Either way she needs some help.

It sounds like she has an eating disorder. One of the characteristics of having one is a regimented diet that is not adequate for good health. A lot of times, that involves only eating certain types of food and nothing else.
