I know weiss means white but I'm trying to learn German and have heard people saying "Ich weiss.....". And my question is what does weiss mean when coming after I?

weiß = the colour white

ß is a double s - equivalent to ss - not sz as suggested by another responder.

Sure it is ambiguous - weiss as a form of the verb wissen (to know) and weiss as the color white. In context, a speaker would normally understand the difference.

I'm not sure but when I go to a German restaurant I order a Weiss Beer with a squeeze of lemon, it's awesome. I think there are two kinds one which contains yeast and one that doesn't.

ß is actually the combination form of "s" and "z" in German cursive script.

So, Weiss is Weiss, and Weiß is not Weiss but Weisz.

You spell it "weiß". It can mean the adjective white but it can also be a verb in the first person ("ich") in the present tense. Then it's "ich weiß". The infintive is "wissen".

It means "I know ...", just as the first answer indicated...and "Ich weiss nicht" means, "I do not know"...

Someone said it can be spelled weiß, too, actually weiß is always spelled with the ß, wissen is spelled with ss.
